I Owe I Owe So Off to Work I Go

I am here to tell you this working thing is just not working out. I am so tired when I get home I don't even have the energy to drop. I started working back at the same place in Pennsylvania that I worked before. Which is a good thing in this economy. I not only got my job back but actually got a small raise. But the woman that they hired when we went back to Florida decided that she did not like the idea of me being back at work. I was not hired for the position I had before I left but for another position with the company. So in no way was I a threat to her job. But that isn't the way she saw it. So she decided just to not come back to work after taking a couple of days off. So now I am not only doing the job I was hired for but also the job she was doing. I am getting to work well before 8:00 AM and leaving at 5:00 PM with no breaks, no lunch hour just working from the minute I get there to the minute I leave. All this extra work added to me plus they changed to a new software system while I was gone. So nothing is done the same way it was when I was there before. That means basically learning two new jobs at the same time. I really think I am too old for all of this. But what are you going to do when you like to have food on the table and a roof over your head. Guess you go to work and do the work you are given and in this day an age just be very thankful that I have a job. Which I am just really tired right now.

Moving along with life

Today is going to be the beginning of my telling about things in my life.

Last night was an interesting evening to say the least. We were in the process of getting ready to go somewhere for the evening. When I kept hearing a smoke detector going off somewhere in the building we live in. I went out of our apartment to try to find out what was going on. There was a very faint smell of smoke outside our apartment door. I went up the stairs to the second floor apartment and the smoke was very heavy up there. I knocked (well banged) on the door several times and could not get anyone to answer. The smoke was getting worse so I ran back down stairs and we called the landlord. (I know should have called 911) but then the lady from upstairs came down the stairs saying she had put a skillet of grease on the stove to heat up and then went in to clean her bathroom. She forgot all about the grease heating up and it caught on fire. Guess she ruined her stove, mini blind at the window. I am just thankful that we didn't even get any smoke at all in our apartment. This is the first time in our 42 years of marriage that we have been this close to having a fire where we live. To say I was scared and upset would be a major understatement to say the least. But we are no worse for the wear and hopefully nothing like this will ever happen again.

The end of an era

I think that I have reached the end of an era in my life. I have been using this blog in the past to make some extra money via doing paid posts. Well things are changing in that area so to that part of my blogging I am saying goodbye. I have to say I have some integrity about myself. I refuse anymore to put a post on my blog and to really try to do the best job possible for an advertiser only to have them want to pay me a very small and I do mean small fee.

I have decided to try to keep my blog going. To be honest I don't know if anyone out there will read my blog. But to be honest I am not sure that is all that important to me anymore. I intend to keep my blog up for myself. So if anybody out there still wants to read my blog that is great. I will welcome readers just will quite making it a job to get them.

Step it up

I really wish that Randy could somehow manage to visit a podiatrist new york city podiatrist so that he could get someone to work his his feet. Bless his heart he has really ugly feet. He has a callus on one foot that to be honest looks like he is growing another toe. He keeps kidding me about me doing something for him where his feet are concerned. But to be honest I have this thing about touching the feet of someone else. Especially when they are as bad as his feet are. Don't get me wrong, I love him just not that deeply to touch his feet. OK I love him that much but I am still not going to touch his feet. Maybe someday he will be able to visit a foot doctor and get something nice done to his feet.

Back at last

It has only been about 3 weeks that I have been offline while we were moving and with getting the cable company here to hook us up. But, I am here to tell you it feels like it has been 3 months or 3 years. I didn't realize how much I enjoy being on the internet and checking email and such. But now I realize it. I am going to try to be better about blogging. But to be honest right now there isn't much right now to comment about. Life is pretty much going to work and coming home. So I won't bore you with those details.

Ouch

Ouch, Ouch, Ouch. Did I happen to say ouch? Well just in case I didn't then OUCH!!! We loaded the moving truck yesterday with our possessions. It was like 92 degrees here but the heat index was supposed to be like 104 degrees. But that was not up inside this moving truck I actually think it had to be at least 125 degrees in there or more. I have never been so hot in all my life. There were a couple of times I actually didn't think I was going to make it. If it had not been for our daughters and a friend of Joys who showed up and saved the day. I think I just might still be laying out there in that truck or the garage. I know I don't say it enough to my daughters but I do love and appreciate you both. More than you will ever know. But I am getting ready to go downstairs now and so I will leave you with just one word. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean business

Jill has always wanted to have her own business in the catering business. I keep telling her to go for it as A woman she might really stand a good chance with some of the business grants which are available.

I really think that she would be great running her own catering business. She is an well organized person. Not to mention being a very good cook. She has a lot of options when it comes to business grants. She can check out the local and federal government grants which are available to people.

When you are looking for grants you have to really be careful of getting scammed. She needs the service of the great online resource for business grans which is managed by the National Institute of Business Grants. She will need to learn to be patient because it is not a fast process. She is like me patience is not the easiest thing for her to do. Business grants are intended to help people go into business for the very first time. I really believe she can do this and try to give her all the encouragement I can.

Say what?

Your Pilgrim Name Is:

Constance Doughty

A pilgrim is a wanderer with purpose.

What's Your Pilgrim Name?

I am not sure I understand where that name came from. But it does make me think of Thanksgiving which is coming sooner than I would like to think. I do look forward to a good turkey dinner though.

"D" Day

Tomorrow is going to be "D" day for us. This is the day that we load all of our stuff on a truck bound for PA. I know I keep posting about this. But you have no idea how glad I will be to have this day over. I have checked the weather and the temperature is supposed to be about 92 and the heat index is supposed to be about 102 degrees. Oh my gosh can you say melt down. Then later in the week the temps are supposed to be in the 70's now why couldn't that cooler weather come earlier in the week? Guess just not meant to be. Although I am glad about one thing and that is we are not under the threat of a hurricane. That would be really bad.

Show them off

I have always heard that if you wait a bit any style in clothing will repeat itself. I remember during my younger days I had and wore many sexy mini skirts. It now seems that the mini skirt craze is returning. One of the great things about mini skirts is that you can wear just about any kind of shoe with a really cute skirt. You can just about go from that cute pair of tennis shoes in your closet all the way to that pair of really high heal shoes you found.

Nothing makes a girl feel more like a girlie girl though that some sexy lingerie under that also very sexy mini skirt. A mini skirt if accessorized correctly can go from the office right to a night out on the town. All you have to do is change perhaps your accessories and maybe a sexy pair of heals and off you go. From office to the nightclub.

I am a firm believer that if you have great legs then you should show them off. So for those of you who still have that great pair of legs then get you a sexy mini skirt and put on your sexy lingerie on under it and make yourself feel good about yourself.

Where is Fall???

Living in Florida you have to envy the Northern Folks. Right now there is snow up north and what do we have here in good ole Florida. Why yes, we have heat, heat and more heat. I am really hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that on Wednesday at least the humidity is just a tad bit lower. Right now at 10:30 in the morning the temp is only 83 that isn't bad you say. So what am I complaining about? Well the "Feels like" temperature is 93 degrees. So that is what I am complaining about. During the afternoon the "Feels like" temperature will be well above 100 degrees.

I WONIIIIIII

I am so excited to say I just won the Nobel Peace Prize. I really didn't have to do anything to win it. But hopefully in the future I will do something to earn it. You just never know. Maybe I will and maybe I won't.

Soaking wet

I know that there is a lot of problems lately in California with all of the wild fires they have been having. I am sure a lot of people are going to need to do something about water damage Orange County after all is said and done. I am aware that a lot of the time there is more damage done by putting out a house fire with water damage than the actual damage done by the fire itself. So it is really important that those poor people find a good company who can clean up the mess that they return home to.

Count Down

Well a week from tomorrow we will be loading all of our possessions on the truck which will take them to PA. There our friends and some help will unload everything and have it all in our apartment when we get there. I will need to unpack everything but that is something that I can take my time doing and not have to have it done all in a day. We arrive in PA on Saturday afternoon and I start working on Monday morning. I am very thankful for that.

Two, Four, Six, Eight!

Two, Four, Six, Eight Vote for Nate! I am so proud of my Grandson Nate. He has decided to throw his hat in the ring. (although he has no idea what that phrase means) But he has decided to run for the school position of Reporter. He knew he wanted to run for an office as soon as he heard they were going to have elections. But did not know what position he wanted to campaign for. So yesterday he came home from school and announced that he was campaigning for the "Reporter" position. I asked him why he chose that position instead of President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer. His answer was there were less people running for the Reporter position. So for his age he figured his odds were better. So Jill (his Aunt Sue Sue) is his campaign manager and she and his Mom (Joy) are working on creating fliers to hand out and posters to put up in the school tomorrow afternoon. I say to Nate go dude you can do it. He also realizes that he might not get elected and seems ok with that option too. I am just proud of him for trying.

Take care of your body

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about things I need to do to take care of myself. I hate to admit it but I am getting older now. But it does beat the alternative of being dead. I have also decided that part of the process of taking care of myself will be in the form of Herbal Nutrition.

I have been taking advantage of the internet a lot lately to research things that I want to take advantage of when we get to Pennsylvania. I have discovered Herbalife in my search and I am very happy to discover that I was able to do a search for the city we will be living in in Pennsylvania and there there are six distributors as close as nine miles from where we will be living. That is important to me. I did not want to find something here in Florida that I liked only to discover I could not find it anywhere in PA. But thankfully that will not be the case. All you have to do on the Herbalife International site is enter your city and state and in the blink of an eye you get a list of distributors in your area.

Their website is very user friendly and easy to navigate which is important for me. I want to use sites where I don't have to waste time figuring out how to navigate around the site. But with Herbalife International that is not an issue at all. So if you too like me are interested in taking better care of yourself then what are you waiting for? Get on over there and check it out.

Where is Fall

Last week we had a couple of fairly nice days here in Florida, at least weather wise. But they are saying that this week we should be back to summer like temperature and humidity. Have I ever said that I hate Florida? Well if I haven't then let me go on record as saying I hate Florida. I do not do hot weather very well. As a matter of fact I do not do hot weather at all. I only hope that in a little over a week we have some cool weather when we are to load our possessions on the truck that will take them to Pennsylvania. We are now in the countdown period of our move. I am anxious for the move let have some emotions about it. I do hate to leave our daughters and our 3 grandchildren. But we are all strong people and we will make the adjustments necessary in living miles apart.

Love to ride

I really want a bicycle. I remember years ago I made that statement to my Father in Law and you know what? He got me one, he just showed up one day with a bike in the trunk of his car just for me. Well wouldn't you know some jerk stole it off of our carport. I remember calling "Dad" and telling him what had happened. Well just a few weeks later here he came again with another bike for me. He did fuss at me and tell me not to leave it on the carport anymore. So now I am again looking for a bike you know something like a chopper bikes would be great for me. What I am looking for is like Beach bikes these are very simple bikes sort of like the bike you had when you were a kid. This sort of bike usually has only one speed and coaster (foot) brake. I am not in need for 24 speeds and I hate hand brakes. I am just sort of an old fashioned girl when it comes to bike riding. Yep, this settles it when we get to PA I am going to start looking for a bike for myself.

Cheese Cheese

You Are Cheese Pizza

Traditional and comforting.

You focus on living a quality life.

You're not easily impressed with novelty.

Yet, you easily impress others.

What's Your Pizza Personality?

Guess this pretty much describes me. Plus I have to say I love a good cheese pizza. I can't wait until we get back to PA cause we have our favorite pizza delivery place and I can order Pizza, Wings and just kick back and enjoy a quiet evening at home.

Where is Fall

Where is Fall weather? It has been so hot here in Florida. I know why I hate living in Florida. I do not like to sweat and that seems like all you do in Florida is sweat. I also really miss the season changes throughout the year. Here in Florida instead of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. You have Warm Summer, Hot Hot Summer, Pretty Hot Summer and then mild summer. But pretty much everything is some version of summer weather.

Changes coming

I need to start thinking about doing something about website hosting for my blog. When Randy and I get moved he wants to start a blog and I think I just might start a second one myself. So I need to get started doing my research trying to find the perfect website host for us. I have to be honest this is something that I don't know a whole lot about this subject. But, I do believe if I do my research and check things out I will be able to do it. One of the big things I am interested in is obtaining a free domain name. If you are like me and are out there looking for the best site to check out for your web hosting needs I really think I have found the perfect one. It seems like to me that they have all of the answers for you. It is sort of like web hosting for dummies. If you believe in such a thing as one stop shopping then this is the place to go. They not only have the web hosting but they also have blog hosting which is what I am interested in. So if you are reading this post and this is something you too are interested in. Then, what are you waiting for? Get yourself over there and check it out.

What am I?

You are a Knife

You are precise, determined, and detail oriented.

You mean what you say, and you say what you mean.

You enjoy taking risks and living on the edge.

You are a controversial person. You opinions tend to be divisive.

What Utensil Are You?

Hey for once I actually think one of these quizzes sort of describes me. I am a detail oriented type person. As a matter of fact I lean toward being Anal when it comes down to the details. I am one of those types of people who do mean what I say and I say what I mean. Although lately I have been trying to learn that there are times I really need to just keep my mouth shut and try to stay out of trouble.

First day

Well today was the second first day of school for the grandchildren. Due to an issue with the school district here they had to change schools 3 weeks into the year. Yeah, they all three had mixed feelings. They were excited yet apprehensive about this morning. They all make friends very well but like all kids I am sure they have the fear that nobody will like them for some stupid reason and they will not have any friends. But I am sure they will all come home from school this afternoon full of stories and all sorts of new friends.

Crazy grandchildren

Today while we were in the garage going through things to do a major consolidation. I found some flannel hats that my boss in PA made for the grandchildren. So I brought them in and the granddaughter was very quick to let me know she wasn't going to keep it on her head. But the boys have spent most of the day with these flannel hats on their heads. I am telling you it had to be in the 90's today and here they were running around with those crazy hats on their heads.

Packing and repacking

Just when I thought we were almost packed up. I came up with a brainstorm last night. I realized that we still had 27 empty boxes that were all the same size. Anyone who has moved knows it is much easier to pack a truck with boxes that are all the same size. So today we spent most of the day in the garage repacking most of what we had already packed. Our goal is to have 40 of the same size boxes so that it will make loading easier. Needless to say I am one tired lady right now. But tomorrow we should be able to finish up our task. I am finally beginning to believe that we will have enough room in the truck for all of our possessions.

Living in the fast lane

I have been looking at the new cars ads lately. Not that I can afford a new car but it would be great. I remember when we were first married we had two new cars in one year. Our first new car was a Karmin Gia and the second one was a Camaro. I have to say I think my favorite one was the Gia. There was no car in the world that could take curves and turns like that little car. However, I think we had a lemon because we had lots of issues with it so that is why we traded it in. But all in all it was a fun car to have. So every now and then I do get the bug to have another new car so. You never know.

Open House

Tonight is open house at the Grandchildren's school. So I guess we will try to eat a quick dinner and they can get all cleaned up and then off to school. They are very excited about it. Although as I said before I guess Friday will be their last day at this school and on Monday they will be in a new school. But tonight Nate has his duties as safety patrol so he really wants to go.

What's that

You Are Balanced and Thoughtful

You view people with suspicion. There is a lot of interpersonal conflict in your life.

You had more conflict with your father than your mother. Your relationship with him was difficult and possibly unhealthy.

You deal with stress in an effective and competent matter. You are able to remain calm.

You require a lot of calm in your life. When things get too hectic, you need to step back and reassess things.

I don't know if this describes me or not. Although I do like a lot of calm in my life. However my life seems anything but calm. I mean come on how calm can life be for someone my age living in a house with three children ages 10 and 11? That is not calm let me tell you.

Hog wild

My daughter's old boss who just let me say was not a young man. Decided to go into his second young adulthood. So he and his very young wife decided to get themselves moth motorcycle. I don't mean just any motorcycle they both got Harley's. So needless to say they had to have all of the harley davidson accessories that they could lay their hands on. I have to secretly say I was somewhat envious of him. I never road motorcycles much but did have a couple of friends in my youth that had them. I would sneak to ride them because that was one of my Mother's hard and fast rules in the house. We were never allowed to ride motorcycles because she was always afraid we would get hurt. But if I were to go into my second young adulthood I think I just might give it a whirl.

What fall leaf describes me?

You Are Spirited and Spontaneous

You are an energetic, passionate person. You are quite impulsive, and your passions tend to change with the wind.

You are lively and fun. You like to stay busy with your various adventures.

You are a wanderer and a traveler. You're curious about the world, and it's hard for you to stay still for too long.

You get bored easily and tend to shirk on your responsibilities. You don't want to grow up yet!

I have been saying how much I am looking forward to fall. I hope when we get to PA that there are still some fall colors left and everything is not gone. I have to say fall is probably my favorite season of the year when all the bright colors come out on the trees.

Cooking dinner

The other night we had a big pork roast for dinner. So tonight we are having leftovers. What I am doing is we cooked the remainder of the roast to make sure it is really tender. Then I dice up potatoes and put them in the broth to cook until done. After that I cut the port roast into small bites and put it into the broth and there you have it. We have hash. We serve it over bread on our plates and have a couple of side dishes and trust me the only thing we throw away on the roast is the bone and any large pieces of fat. It is very good and the way the economy is these days you have to make your groceries stretch as far as possible.

Bag Lady

Anybody who know me will tell you that I am addicted to custom tote bags. If we go somewhere and they have a cool tote bag I cannot pass it up. I have one that Jill brought me back from Amsterdam and I love it. I use them to carry things back and forth from home to work and to church and well just about everywhere. I have recently obtained some tote bags that I will use when we go to the grocery store. I have a couple that I plan to use when we get back to PA and next summer when fresh produce is available at all of the produce markets around. I have to tell you I am a firm believer that a person cannot have to many tote bags in various sizes. There is always something that you can load them up with and go about your business.

Happy Birphday

No I did not incorrectly spell Birthday wrong. Well ok technically I did but you will soon understand why I did such. Last week was my granddaughter's birthday and her Mother went to the dollar store here to get a birthday banner and balloons to decorate a bit for her birthday. Well we all had a very good time and and after dinner she got to open her presents. So being the efficient people we are the banner is still hanging on the dining room wall. Well last night during dinner one of my grandsons spoke up and said hey "birthday is wrong". When we all finally figured out what he was talking about and actually read the sign this is what we discovered. So now we do not recommend purchasing your decorations at the dollar tree stores.

Is it live?

My husband and I worked the last time we were in PA for a college there where we were doing telephone surveys. I remember we always had to talk to a particular person in the house based on the criteria of the survey. When we got the appropriate person to take the survey we had to have their first name for as they would have us say "courtesy purposes". The reason we actually needed this information was for the call recording that was taking place. This way if they selected our particular survey to verify that we completed it according to the proper way they had a name to ask for.

I am sure they had some type of special call recording software installed we were not aware of what it was. But everything we did was entirely on their computer system. The questions we were to ask were on the computer and we registered the answers and everything was stored and sorted as to the demographics which were appropriate.

I did to some degree enjoy the job and you did quite a few different surveys anything from Political, Medical or even about the local school districts. We were never allowed to lead the person into their answer and this is one of the reasons for the call recording. If they played back a survey we completed and found anything we did wrong we could either be reprimanded or worst case lose our job.

Where is fall

I think summer is supposed to be over by now. But please could someone tell me where the fall weather is here in Florida? It seemed to be a bit cooler a week or so ago because there was less humidity here but now I think it is back with a vengeance. I tried to sit out on the front porch this morning to do a little reading but did not last very long out there due to the heat. I will be glad when we get to PA because the weather is much cooler there now. We will be there in a month from today. Sometimes that seems so close and then in some ways it seems like it is a long time from now.

Good News Bad News

Well there is good news and bad news in our family. The good news is that the kids are transferring to a brand new school that just opened this year. The bad news is that for Nate they have no musical strings program available there. Last year he took violin and did extremely well. This year he had his choice of violin, viola or cello. He chose the cello and now with moving to the new school there is no program for that. Plus he is in the safety patrol and trust me he takes that job very seriously. So while his Brother and Sister are very excited about the new school he is not quite as happy about the prospects there for him. His mother is going to work to see if she can find someone who will volunteer to give him 1 lesson a week as being a single mother it is not on her budget to pay $60.00 an hour. So keep him in your thoughts that he does not have to give up his music this year.

Money Money Money

I know I am not the only person that is in need of more income. When Randy and I get back to PA I already have a job lined up. I am going back to work for a company I worked for before. This is a good thing as I like the company and all the people I work with. But lets be honest, we all can use more money. So I am in the process of checking out legal ways of earning money.

I know there are a lot of scams out there so to be honest I am trying to check everything out very carefully. I am looking for something that Randy and I can work from home. Then maybe eventually I could break out from the office scene and actually work strictly from home. That would be the greatest thing for me. What I want to do in the beginning is to have something that Randy is able to do while I am at work and then when things get to the stage where there is too much work for him to do and the money is there then I could leave my job and work at home with him.

With us being in PA and our girls and grandchildren being in Florida I would love to have the flexibility at work and the extra money to just pick up when we want and come to see the kids for a few days. With me working a 9 - 5 Monday - Friday job I know that is not possible. But hopefully one day that dream can come true for me.

GYou Are Powerful and Hard Working

You're the type of person who can sit all day working on a long and arduous project.

You are determined to be successful, and quitting is never an option for you.

You give a first impression of being a workaholic. This is true, but unlike most workaholics, you have a healthy relationship with your work.

You are an armchair businessperson. You know a lot about running organizations, and you're never afraid to say how you think things should be done.

The Chair Test

This pretty much sounds like me. I am certainly never afraid to say what I think should be done. I am trying to learn to keep my mouth shut when the situation warrants. I guess sometimes you can teach old dogs new tricks. I am learning that if I keep my mouth shut I stay out of trouble.

Responsibility

We are busy trying to teach our grandchildren how to be responsible. Right now they have in their house 2 cats belonging to each of my daughters and they have 2 guinea pigs. The kids seem to think that since they themselves are big enough to go to the refrigerator or cabinet and get themselves something to eat that the pets must be able to take care of themselves. Well the cats maybe. Because if they get hungry and they have pigged out on their food in the cat dish. (remember we are talking about cats they weigh almost 20 pounds). The cats will just go and knock over the bag of cat food and eat it off of the floor. But the guinea pigs are a different story. They are confined to a cage. It is a big cage for them. But they cannot reach the refrigerator or cabinet much less their container of food. So they are dependent on the humans in the house. Don't get me wrong. The guinea pigs are not missing any meals cause they are definitely big and healthy. But to get just 1 of the 3 kids to take a moment out from the computer, TV or Wii is like taking on WW3. So when we move to PA and it is just them here sure hope they do a better job of feeding them.

Learning new things

When I was in grade school my mother decided that she wanted me to learn to play the piano. However we did not own a piano, but, that did not stop my mother. She found me this piano teacher who I know was like 200 years old. So what I did was take my piano lesson every week and then I was sent everyday to our church up the street where I was supposed to practice all by myself for my mandatory hour. Yeah like a kid is going to sit there and practice all by themselves for an hour. I could have really used some help learning all of the piano cords .

I am telling you my piano teacher was the meanest lady I have ever known. I know you are supposed to keep your wrist up but with her if you didn't she would use her directors baton to hit the back of your hands. Now trust me that really hurts. I also remember one day when I fell on the way to my lesson and broke my elbow. Although, I didn't know I broke it but after sitting and waiting for my turn I could not straighten out my arm. I told her and she said if I could wiggle my fingers my arm was not broken. She actually made me take my piano lesson. I had to play the right hand part with my right hand then play the left hand part with my right hand. Have you ever tried to play your piano cords with just one hand and make it sound good? That was the last piano lesson my mother made me take. I was so happy but I have to say I wish I had learned to play the piano.

Sadly all I learned to play was a couple of songs which have stuck in my brain like a bad dream. I learned to play the fire engine song and Ming Ling Laundry Man. I don't even remember any of the piano cords that my teacher did manage to teach me. I know I am as much to blame as she is.

Counting the days

We are to the point of just about counting the days until our move. I will really hate to leave the kids and the girls but yet will be happy to be back in PA and am excited about going back to my old job I had there. I can't believe that in this economy I was able to contact the company I worked for there and they have an opening that they are holding for me. We will be there the end of next month which is October. We are going to work with our friends in the church up there. I hope we will still be able to catch some fall weather and to see some fall leaves. I really think autumn is my favorite time of the year.

The New Yo Yo Ma

Last night one of my grandsons got to go pick his musical instrument he is going to play this year. Last year he played the violin in school. This year he had the choice of playing the violin again or the viola or the cello. He chose the cello. To tell you the truth I am not sure how he is going to get it back and forth to school. Even though he has one of the smaller size cello's it is still bigger it seems than him. Guess that is going to be a job for his mother to figure out for him. But I think he made a good choice and he seems to be happy with it. So time will tell if we have a new Yo Yo Ma in the family.

Keep an eye on it

Have you ever worked somewhere where there is at least one person who spends more time doing personal things on their office computer and doing office work on the office computer? Well I have and now there is a way that the employer can not only keep an eye on the entire office but if need be keep an eye on a particular employee. Employee monitoring sometimes is a necessary thing. There are times when I agree with monitoring at work. I worked for a company once where they had to add to their employee handbook that you were not allowed to use the office computer and office internet to look for a new job. Yeah you heard me right. The employee who worked there before me had used the office to find her new job and when the new job didn't work out she applied for unemployment and it bounced back to the company she used to find her new job and she won and collected unemployment against them. So yep there are those kind of people out there.

Happy Birthday

Today is my granddaughters birthday. I can't believe she is 11 years old. It seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital the night she was born. She was this little bundle of joy. Now she is an 11 year old bundle of joy. I hope she has the best day possible at school. Her mom got cupcakes to take to school so all of her classmates could share in her birthday with her. I am not sure what she has ordered for her birthday supper. I know her twin brothers placed an order for their birthday last month for chili dogs. Which we had and they loved. But she has a more refined taste. She mentioned something about steak but since that is not on the family budget at this time. I think she will have to go with whatever is her second choice.

But to Kiayla, your Nannie and Poppy say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.

Got the time

I am going to start thinking about Christmas presents. I mean it is almost October and that means that Christmas is just around the corner. Time right now seems to be going slow but I know it will speed up as we get to the Holiday seasons. I think I am going to get Randy a new watch since he doesn't have one right now. I have been checking out a new Patek Philippe watch for him. This watch company has been in business since 1868 so any company that can build watches that long must have a great product. There is not a person alive who would not absolutely love one of these watches.

Project 2,996

Align Left
I have search all morning for information on Frank Thomas Aquilino. I am sad to say that I have not acquired much information. I do know that he was only 26 years of age when a senseless act of Islamic Terrorism took his young life. I also know that his hometown was New York, NY and that in his young life he must have been a very hard worker because at the age of 26 he was employed by Cantor Fitzgerald and he was a Vice President and partner. That is a lot to accomplish in the years that he could have been employed after high school and possibly college graduation. He was on one of the very high floors of the World Trade Center where they believe the plane probably hit the tower.

I have no idea if he was a husband or a father. If he was my heart breaks for his wife and children. But I do know he had to be someone's son. I know the pain of losing a son but fortunately not the pain of having someone murder your child. So to the Mother of Frank Thomas Aquilino my heart breaks for your pain. I feel some of your pain.

We can only wonder what a young man would have, could have and might have done with his life if it had not so senselessly taken from him.

Let's don't ever forget the many sacrifices that were made on 9-11. Keep this a day of memory and honor and not just a day of "Service" God help our country.

This is really cool you have got to check it out. Who said that the experts know everything. What do you think if some of these people would have listened to the expert? How would things have turned out?

Not a good day

Today was not a good day for me. This morning my laptop decided to turn up and absolutely die. I spent about 2 hours online (on another computer) with their "Tech Support" on a chat. Yeah this was with a guy in India. Well after the two hours he finally informs me that the Mother Board has died in the laptop. And oh yeah. The warranty ran out just a couple of months ago. So for the small low, low price of $398.00 (plus tax) they would be more than happy to replace the Mother Board. Like he actually thinks I have over $400.00 to do this. So for now I am sharing my husbands computer. This is the second HP laptop I have had that crashed right after the warranty ran out. As a matter of fact I had a HP service tech which I know tell me that they actually build laptops to only last a little over a year. So for all of you out there thinking about buying a laptop. I would advise you to reconsider. Especially if you are thinking about one from HP their products suck and so does their tech support. Half the time I could not even understand what it was that this guy wanted me to do to my computer. I would have to ask him over and over again exactly what he wanted me to do. So now I have a very expensive door stop!!!

A Summer Skirt Situation

As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, a lovely looking woman became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus.

Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't.

So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step

Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg.

With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step.

About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus.

She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, "How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!"

The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends."

I found this on the Joke of the day and just had to post it here. Just thought it might make somebody smile today instead of frown. Remember it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.

Can't win for losin

My daughter had found a friend who is selling a washer and dryer and it is something that she needs very much. Last week she had it all lined up to use a truck and go get them and we got a major storm go through the area. So she had to scrub those plans. So now tonight she has the truck lined up again and she called the person who has the washer and dryer and they are not going to be home. She says she just can win for losing. Hopefully next time she gets things lined up the third time will be the charm and everything will work out for her.

Perfect Birthday Gift

My granddaughter is getting ready for her birthday in just less than two weeks. I have been wracking my brain to figure out the perfect gift I could get her. I think I have come upon the perfect gift. Buy one Share of Disney would be perfect for her. She is a great Disney fan as living in central Florida she has just about been raised at Disney. Plus now that Disney has purchased Marvel Comic Books it will now be even better. We have been trying to teach her the value of saving her money so that it grows. So hopefully this will be a good learning experience for her as well as a good investment for her future. Who know what just one share of Disney stock could turn into down the road for her.

What greeting are you

You Are "Hey"

You are a bit of a wallflower. You're not a big fan of small talk and pointless conversation.

You tend to be more of a listener than a talker. You especially hate talking to strangers.

You are independent and very creative. You are good at expressing your thoughts, even if you keep most of them private.

Some people may see you as standoffish, but you're really a friendly person. It just takes you a while to warm up.

What Greeting Are You?

Guess I must have answered these questions pretty honestly because this pretty much describes me to a "T". I have always said I am one of those people who could walk into a room of a thousand people and if nobody spoke to me first I could leave hours later never having said a word to anyone. On the other hand my husband could walk into the same room and leave telling me all about the people he met and all of the great conversations he had. Guess it is true when they say opposites attract. Cause we are opposite in many ways. Guess that is some of what has kept us together for almost 42 years now.

Rain rain don't stay away

Today is a cloudy rainy day here. I actually like days like this. It is not storming just raining. There is nothing that makes me any lazier than a rainy day. Well ok maybe I can think of a few things but they are not what this post is about. It is about rainy days. I also like a rainy day when you can hear the distant sound of thunder. I don't want to be in the midst of a major thunder and lightning storm just the distant rumble of occasional thunder helps me to peace out. So I think it is time to curl up with my Bible and do some serious reading today.

Time to share

I can remember when at work if you wanted to give another employee a file you were working on so that they could work on it along with you it meant a lot of work. Especially if the file was an extremely long and complicated process. Now it is possible to have such a thing as managed file transfer between two or more computers in your company with very minimal effort. Now it is as easy as simply dragging and then just dropping them onto Windows Explorer or Macintosh's Finder which ever operating system you are using. After the file has been transferred both of the users and the administrator can be supplied with visual reports. You are then able to see the status of each file transfer and the administrators can monitor the health of your system and identify if you have any glitches in your transfer process. You can also have the ability to receive alerts so that the users can be proactive and not reactive in being kept up to date on such things as file transfers,
delivery issues, or any other serious security concerns. I really think this is something worth checking into.

New Adventures

As I said earlier Randy and I are getting ready to move. This time is going to be a totally new experience for us. We have moved many times and a lot of them have been cross country moves. But I think this move is going to have some firsts for us.
  • First we are not actually driving a truck with our possessions to our destination. We have friends who have arranged for a small semi trailer to be dropped here and we load and then it gets picked back up and the trucking company drives it to our destination.
  • Our friends arranged for us to fly to our destination. Which means we will physically make a cross country move in just a couple of hours instead of a couple of days.
  • Our friends just rented us an apartment in our destination city. So we will move into a home that we have never seen.
We are putting a lot of trust in these friends as to our future. But, I think I could actually get used to this kind of move.

Congratulations

Congratulations to one of my grandchildren. Nate earned his Safety Patrol Badge at school today. This shows that he has successfully completed his training. I am very proud of him. He does not take his job lightly he is very serious about doing what ever tasks he is given to do. For that I say good job. I also discovered from Nate that today he was the only one to receive his badge. Meaning he was the only one who had done all of the requirements in his training. So another congratulations to Nate!

Toasty warm

Now that we are moving back to the cold country I just told you all about recently. It gets me to thinking about the type of heat we will have in our house. I enjoy being cold outside but when I am in the house I want to be toasty warm. So I have actually been checking out various ways to heat your house.

I am one of those people if my feet are cold then I am cold all over. So I think I have found the perfec solution for that. That would be what is called Radiant Floor Solutions from Pexheat. With the radiant floor heat says lower to the floor where you are as opposed to having all of the heat up toward the ceiling. I don't know about you but I don't walk on the ceiling I walk on the floor so that is where I want most of my heat to be.

Also with the Radiant Heat you can probably keep the radiant panel type heating systems completely out of sight. So if you construct it with either hydronic tubing or electric cable in your floors, walls and even in the ceiling you can conceal them. So it is much easier to place your furniture around the room and not actually be heating the underneath side of your couch. So yes for me I actually think this is what I am going to try to look for in the way of heating our new home.

On the road again

Well we are doing it again. That is Randy and I are. We are in the process of packing and moving. We have decided that we are going to move back to PA. We left there to come back to Florida but have decided well it is just too hot here. I do not like to sweat and in Florida it seems like that is about all I do. Guess we will be leaving here about the end of October to head back North. Hopefully we will get there to still enjoy some Fall weather. Last year I loved all of the fall colors on the trees and to be honest I actually loved the snow in the winter.

The sound of music

Take just a minute to watch this video it will certainly brighten your day. I have seen this many times but every time I watch it seems like the first time.

Green is the color

I have recently started going green. I have discovered that this is not something that you just wake up one morning and say "today everything in my life is green". This is a process, I started out by trying to completely do away with the plastic grocery bags and I have a stainless steel water bottle I use every day instead of bottled water.

So no I am thinking ok where do I go from here? I think the next step is to start finding ways to save water. I have just discovered that there is such a thing as dual flush toilets until today I never new such an item existed. I do not want to have to completely replace 3 toilets in the house with totally new toilets and then what do you do with your old toilets? Send them to the landfill.... Now you don't have to you can simply purchase A dual flush conversion kit and retrofit your existing toilet. In a years time you can save enough water to fill an entire swimming pool. So just think of the money you will save plus helping the environment.

They have this cool program in place to help you raise money for your local school program , scout program or an after school program. It is really pretty simple you just sign up with them and start to tell people about their fantastic product and then you use the code that you are given and as people purchase they receive 5% off their purchase and your cause receives 5% as well. So the way I look at this it is a win - win situation for everybody including the earth. Living in Florida I know that the public school do not get enough money so what better way to earn money for your school and go green at the same time when you save water.

It's That Time

YES!!!! It is that time of the year and the grandchildren are going back to school next week. I actually think they are ready to go. They will go today to meet their teachers and to find out who will be in their class with them. They are hoping to have best friends back this year and to actually maybe meet some new friends. They have had a lot of fun this summer I know but they do miss the routine of school and lazy time on the weekends.

It's That Time

Angel's Food vs. Devil's Food

I found this online an just could not resist sharing it with you.

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.

Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?"

And Man said, "Yes!" and Woman said, "and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles." And they gained 10 pounds. And Satan smiled.

And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 6 to size 14.

So God said, "Try my fresh green salad." And Satan presented Ranch Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.

God then said, "I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them." And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it "Angel Food Cake," and said, "It is good." Satan then created chocolate cake and named it "Devil's Food."

God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds.

Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition. And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them. And Man gained pounds.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonald's and its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, "You want fries with that?" And Man replied, "Yes! And super size them!" And Satan said, "It is good." And Man went into cardiac arrest.

God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery.

Then Satan created HMOs.

Family times remembered

My Mother-in-law played the piano and organ at our church for years before they retired and moved from Indiana to Florida. So needless to say she was always on the lookout for new sheet music. Let me tell you if you knew my mother-in-law she was most happy when she was able somehow to find some Free Sheet Music that was when she was at her best form.

I do have to say even though I am able to read music myself I was amazed at her ability of sight reading. You could hand her a sheet of music and she could sit down and play it just as if she had been playing it all of her life. I loved to here her play different Piano Cords especially when she would play minor cords. They would sound so strange yet beautiful.

That was always part of our family get to gathers such as Christmas and other special days. My Mother-in-law would get on her very expensive organ that my father-in-law purchased for her and she would play a lot of the old songs that we all remembered and we would sing the old songs together. We had a lot of fun doing that. I have to be honest that is one of the things that I really miss about her since she passed away.

Just shoot me now

Well last night after supper Joy said hey we are going to make a quick run to Staples to get the kids school supplies. You want to go with???

Well being the age I am I should have picked up the key phrases. "quick run" Staples" "school supplies" Because hours later we returned to the house with a trunk full of bags and they still don't have everything that they were supposed to get.

I have never in my life seen so many people in staples and they all had that "deer in the headlight look" I actually think the ones that I feel the sorriest for is the men. Cause we all know men do not know how to shop on a good day let alone on the "back to school" days. Well after running the cart over several slow mothers to get to what we needed before it was all gone. (hey it's a dog eat dog world out there) We get to the check out lane. Joy purchased 3 bottles of Elmers Glue cause of the fact that she has 3 children (hence 1 bottle per child) and they were only .25 cents per bottle. Well the cashier looks at her and says you only have 3 of these? Duh do you see more? So Joy politely says yes. And said cashier says they are buy one get one free. Well you think they could have said that on the sign but nooooooooooo!. So Joy looks at me and says "Mom can you run back and get one more bottle?" Sure send the oldest person with the troupe back in to the mouth of the lion just for a .25 cent bottle of glue. So back I went and sure enough I managed to find one more bottle of the precious glue.

Then when we walk out of the store Joy says well we didn't get everything we needed so we will just hop across the parking lot to Target. So off we go with the granddaughter and one of the twin boys. "One boy was smart enough to say he wanted to stay home" So the only thing that could make it worse is that if possible there were more people in the aisles and I think the aisles were not as wide as in Staples. Cause I got stuck in one aisle for 3 hours. (OK maybe not 3 hours but sure seemed like it)

We finally make it back home way after my favorite programs had been on for the night only to discover they were still missing a few items. I think if they mention going out for the rest of the itms I will just start drooling or some other thing that they will not want to take me out into public so that I can just stay home.

I won't even go into all of the trauma that we went through in the lingerie department explaining that part of growing up for a girl means wearing a bra every stupid day of her life. Yep the granddaughter has reached that age and let me tell you to put it mildly she is ticked off at the reality of it.

Read Music

One of our grandsons took violin last year in school. They had some different techniques to teach them how to play the violin that when I was in school. But I was very pleased with the outcome by the end of the year. I think that they are teaching them some sight reading tips which is something I believe is very necessary for a musician.

I would love to see one of my grandchildren go on to learn to play the piano. As a child I took lessons but I think my piano teacher was about 150 years old and to be honest I didn't learn much from her. So for me to learn piano I would have to start all over at a beginner level which is something I am actually considering doing.

If I do follow my dream and learn to play the piano and practice, practice, practice who knows maybe in a while I will actually achieve reach the advanced level. It is something for me to think about. I believe that you are never to old to learn something new. I really think trying to learn new things actually keeps you younger.

Watercolor test

You Are Highly Inspiring

You believe that your life has a higher purpose, and you do all you can to achieve it.

You are wise, and a lot of your wisdom comes from self discipline.

You try to live as moderately and modestly as possible.

You make room for rational, small indulgences... while living as ethically as you can.

The Watercolor Test

I think this sort of describes me. I do believe that I have a higher purpose and I try to do all that I can to achieve it. We do live moderately and try to live within out means. I have a few things that I like and when I have extra money that is what I get as my small indulgences.

Florida weather

I has been said many many times that if you don't like the weather in Florida just stick around cause in 15 minutes it will change. Well this summer that is WRONG! This summer it has been hot, hot and more hot. It is like 11:30 AM here right now and the temperature is 85 degrees. I know you say that isn't bad but the heat index or the "feels like" temperature is 109 degrees. Now let me tell you that is hot. I usually try to go out on the front porch every morning to read my Bible and this morning I went out a little later than I usually do and is is so hot that I came back in to read in our room with the AC on. There is not a leaf moving on the trees and the humidity is terrible. We also need to do some work in the garage with going through some of our stuff we have stored out there but there is no way I am getting out there now in this heat. I think we will try that early in the morning tomorrow.

Our Home Alarm System

We have recently moved into a new home and it has a home alarm system built into all of the new homes in this sub division we live in. I believe that our home alarm provider is an excellent company. So we are in the process of checking into it so that we can have the alarm system activated for our security. I really believe that in this day and age every home should have a home alarm system installed. I have heard many good things about the benefits of home alarm systems. They not only protect you in the event of a break in by a thief but also in the event of a fire. To me having 24-7 protection for your home and family is a wonderful thing to have. I really believe that an alarm system is a small price to pay for your security and peace of mind.

Nap time

My husband called me into the family room yesterday afternoon real quietly and there I found one of my twin grandsons laying on the love seat asleep and along with him was my liitle chihuahua "Snoopy" laying across him taking a nap too. It was so cute I had to run to get the camera and snap a few pictures.

Castles and Knights

This is a picture from the back of the lego castle the boys got for their birthday and they along with their sister worked all day to build it. I am here to tell you that they have more patience than I have. This is a picture from the front of the castle. The men's were having a hard time standing up on the carpet.

This is the final object they received guess it is some sort of catapult that throws those things with the red on the end.

Well they had a good time putting it together.

Quiet Day

Today has been a pretty quiet day here at the house. I did not see much out of the grandchildren which some days is a good thing. That means they were pretty quiet themselves. I think tonight after we eat dinner we are going to make a run to Ikea. That has to be one of my favorite things. The only complaint I have with them is that they have started closing so early in the evenings. I guess with the economy they are trying to save money just like the rest of us. But I do love Ikea. We got a catalog this week from them and there are a couple of things in it that I want to pick up and they are relatively cheap which is always good. So ta ta for now.

We have babies

A few weeks ago I saw a pair of sand cranes and went out and took the usual pictures of them. They seem unusually tame which means someone is probably feeding them, which by the way is against the law in Florida. You see if you feed them they become dependent on humans and cease to look for food for themselves. But back to the point yesterday I noticed not 2 for 4 sand cranes. When they got closer I noticed that two of them were smaller and younger than the original pair. So therefore we have babies.

I Love Sandals

Anybody who knows anything about me knows I have several things I love to shop for. One of my weaknesses is shoes. Right now living in Florida I wear sandals every day of the week. So I am always looking for just the perfect pair of them.

Now I have to be very careful and keep close track of my sandals because my granddaughter has discovered that she can fit into my shoes. So I guess she is going to be just like me in the fact that I love shoes. It is something I came by honestly I guess you could say. My mother loved shoes and my daughter loves them so my granddaughter is a fourth generation shoe lover.

Right now I am looking for a new pair of Skechers sandals. The reason I no longer have my Skechers is that my granddaughter talked me out of the pair that I had and loved dearly. Oh well at least she is happy with her new sandals. So for me this is a very good reason to buy a new pair of sandals.

Happy Birthday - Happy Birthday

No I didn't studder in my title. I have two fabulous grandsons that just turned 10 today and their "Nannie and Poppy" want to wish them both a very happy birthday. I can't believe that they actually turn 10 today. As their Mother tells them they hit the double digits today. They have to be the two best grandsons that I could ever ask to have. There is not a day goes by that one of them or even perhaps their older sister comes to me and says "Nannie are you OK?" Yeah I know sometimes it is just being nosey they want to see what I am doing at that particular moment. But they also want to be sure we are ok. They have grown so much in their 10 years it is unbelievable. I have no idea what they will grow up to become but I know that they will both succeed at whatever it is that they set their eyes upon. I just hope that they are neater when they eat their birthday cake than when they turned one. I am sure they will since they are much older now and much neater. Yeah right. Love you boys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let it Rain

We just got the Mother of all storms go through here. In about 45 minutes we got over 2" of rain in my Grandson's rain gauge. It is still raining just a little but the major part of the storm has passed over us at this point. We were sitting out on the back patio and were watching the clouds roll over. They were moving from the east and the west at the same time. Then we heard on the TV that was exactly what was happening. The eastern and western sea breeze were meeting like right over our house. Thar was not a good thing to have happen. They were saying that there was some rotation in the clouds but thankfully nothing came of that part of the storm.

Upcoming Project

I have been working on a project lately for the church we will be working in and one of the things I have been looking for is getting them set up with a dedicated server. Right now they are well to be honest doing things half way. I am a firm believer that anything worth doing is worth doing right. So I told them I would take over this project and do the research and then get things on the right track. I really believe the way for them to go is to have multiple domain hosting. This way they could have domains for different ministries in the church. For instance they could have one for the program for Children, another for the Youth, yet another for Adults, One for Seniors. Plus any other outreach programs they have such as the food bank they are putting into operation. There is no end to the possibilities for them to get the message across to people out there looking for a good place to take their family to worship and to be ministered to. Right now I have discovered the Web Hosting Geeks and they really seem to have the answers I have been looking for. So if you too are searching for this kind of services jump on over there and check them out.

Abraham Laboriel

I heard and saw this guy play a concert once on his bass guitar and have never hear anything like it sense. He just blows my mind what he is capable of making a bass guitar do and sound like

Are you covered

Right now Randy and I have absolutely no insurance at all not to mention any Term Life Insurance. I know we need it and it is something that I am in the process of checking into. It is just that in the past there has been not enough money to pay for it. But I am researching sites where I can get good coverage for a decent premium. So it may be in the near future for us. We just have to find the right coverage for the right premium. There is so much talk right now about uninsured people and as much as I hate to admit right now we are part of that number. But hopefully I can change that pretty soon.

Baby Girl

Well my granddaughter is not going to be my "baby girl" much longer she is getting ready to turn 11 in just short of a month. But next week she is getting braces on her teeth. It seems like just yesterday when she was just learning to walk and getting her first tooth. I don't think I am ready for this rite of passage. She is growing up in so many ways and yet there are times when if I look real closely I can still catch a ever so slight glimpse of my "baby girl". Somehow I think there will always be just a little bit of Baby girl in her. Hey a "Nannie" can always dream.

Gear up

I remember when we live in North Dakota many many years ago. Well there was a fire at a nearby residence to us. When the fire department showed up it actually reminded me of something out of the Keystone Cops. They were all grabbing for the same gear at the same time including fire jackets and yes actually trying to put on the same pair of boots. I am here to tell you that they could have used some much needed assistance from florida police supplies. Because lets be honest the gear they were trying to all use at the same time left a lot to be desired. This site has everything that any Fire, EMS, Police Department would ever need. I really believe that our people in these jobs should have the absolutely best equipment available to them. They put their life on the line everyday so they need as much protection as they can be given. So here is a site where these departments can either order by phone, mail, fax or online and a qualifying department can receive payment terms and they have a great worry-free 90 day return policy. This company has well over 40,000 very high quality products in stock and have access to 300 different manufacturers. These are not knock off brand or cheap imitations. These is all quality gear for the people who need the protection. This is the chance to work with a supplier who is small enough that they care about you but on the other hand they are big enough to get the best deal for you no matter how big or how small your agency is.

Ever Wonder

You Ever Wonder Why...

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why "abbreviated" is such a long word?

Why doctors call what they do "practice"?

And...

Why is it that to stop Windows, you have to click on "Start"?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

When dog food is new and improved tasting, who tests it?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why - don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Gives us something to think about when we have nothing else in the world to do.
