Emerge Labs OrganicSkinCare.com

I have decided that since I have reached an older age and no I am not going to tell you my age that it is time I check out something to make my skin better and younger looking. I have come to the conclusion after using organic products for other things that I want to use organic products on my face. So I am checking out the Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care as something that is really sounding pretty good to me. They have 100% fresh and organic skin care products which are formulated from the "molecules up" and are absolutely the most advanced therapeutic anti-aging skin care products that you will ever use. I understand that your skin will never feel so clean, soft and pure as when you use these products. I am here to tell you I want to look younger. I have to admit that most people do not think I am as old as my age. So I want to keep it that way for a long time to come. So as soon as we get moved back to Florida I will be checking into this further.

Upsetting news

We received an email last night from our best friends in Florida. She was saying that Glenn her husband needs prayers for healing in his body. He has been retaining fluid in his abdomen. A couple of weeks ago the hospital removed 2,650 cc's of fluid from him. Then again on Thursday they removed 1,700 cc. Now he is already filled back up so they will remove more fluid this morning. He has some sort of liver disease and in answer to any questions he is not nor has he ever been an alcoholic. But they doctor told him that his liver is turning to scar tissue and they should look into transplant and also having hospice come in because there is going to be pain and they would be able to give him medicine to control it.

But then the doctor dropped a bombshell on them when he said he might not be a candidte for a transplant. They think it is because of his age and his illnesses. They have not been able to see the right kind of doctor so they are searching for one that will see him. But this must not be a common thing or if it is, there are no specialist.

So I guess what I am trying to say is that any of you who read my blog please pray or do what ever good thing you do when someone needs help. Cause right now our very good friend needs help desperately.

Less of you

I have a good friend who recently had the lapband jacksonville surgery in order to lose weight. She had tried just about every diet known to man to lose weight without any success. But after the lapband surgery she lost the weight with pretty much the success she was looking for. She has been able to keep the weight off for over a year now. So for her it was the results she had been working for over many years. I am really happy for her and her success. I don't know how many pounds she has finally lost but she has lost a lot of them. So to her I tip my hat, if I had one that is.

Shuttle Blast Off

This is not a picture from tonight's launch but it is a picture of a nighttime launch. They are absolutely beautiful to see. If you have never seen one in real life and not on TV then you have absolutely never had the best experience in your life. We look forward to the next launch that we can see in person.

Going offline for a bit

I don't know if I even have anybody out there anymore who reads my blog. I really hope so. I have enjoyed having my blog. Well I will be offline for at least two and a half weeks. We will be moving in a couple of weeks and I am not going to pay Comcast a month for just two weeks of service and it isn't very good service at that. So probably tomorrow or Tuesday I will be offline. That is ok with me I need a brake from some things and it will give me a couple of weeks to get all of the last minute things packed. Although to be honest there isn't much left in our little house to pack up. I have all of my DVD's packed although one box of them is not sealed yet so that we can watch movies in the evening if we want to. So for now I say see you later.

Work out

I have decided that as soon as we get back to Florida I really have to do something about taking off a few pounds and try to get myself in as best shape as I can for my age. We are going to be back with the grandkids and I want to be around for a long time to enjoy them. So I am in the process of checking out kettlebell training. This is something new to me so I have to admit I don't know much about it. But with one program you can accomplish the three most important elements of fitness which are cardio, core and resistance. I have to be honest the only resistance I have been using in the past was a resistance to exercise. So I am going to make a commitment to get into better shape than I am right now. Plus this one program is not all that expensive. I do not have the finances to invest thousands of dollars and that is not the case with this program at all.

Pied Piper

There was a Pied Piper who said We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change it!

*And the people said, Change is good!

Then he said, We are going to tax the rich fat-cats,

*And the people said, Sock it to them!

and redistribute their wealth.

*And the people said, Show me the money!

And then he said, Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody

*And Joe the plumber said, “Are you kidding me?

And Joes personal records were hacked and publicized.

*And one lone reporter asked, Isnt that Marxist policy?

And she was banished from the kingdom!

Then someone asked, With no foreign relations experience, how will you deal with radical terrorists?

And the Pied Piper said, Simple. Ill sit down and talk with them and show them how nice we really are and theyll forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!

Then the Pied Piper said, Ill give 95% of you lower taxes.

*And one, lone voice said, But 40% of us dont pay ANY taxes!”

So the Pied Piper said, Then Ill give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!

*And the people said, Show me the money!

Then the Pied Piper said, Ill tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!

*And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.

And he said, Ill mandate employer- funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage.

*And the people said, Gimme some of that!

Then he said, Ill penalize employers who ship jobs overseas.

*And the people said, Wheres my rebate check?

Then the Pied Piper actually said, Ill bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!

*And the people said, Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we dont care for that part about higher electric rates.

So the Pied Piper said, Not to worry. If your rebate isnt enough to cover your expenses, well bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over! Then he said, illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Lets grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing

*And the people said, Ole`! Bravo! And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy slowed even further. Then the Pied Piper said, I am the Messiah and Im here to save you! Well just print more money so everyone will have enough! But our foreign trading partners said, Wait a minute. Your dollar isnt worth what it was. Youll have to pay more.

*And the people said, Wait a minute. Thats not fair!

And the world said, Neither are these other, idiotic programs youve embraced. Youve become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now youll play by our rules!

*And the people said, What have we done?

But it was too late.

If you think this is a fairy tale, open your eyes and ears. Its happening RIGHT NOW!

If this wasn't true it would actually be very funny. But I am sorry to say there is nothing funny about the way things are going in our country right now. I wish I knew what to do to help make a change in the turn of events but I have no clue.

TGIF

Thank God it's Friday. I think I would just fall over in a dead faint if someone were to tell me today was not Friday. It has really been a rough day at work. I am only going to be there for two more weeks, so I am trying to get all of the daily work done. Plus tie up any loose ends that happen to be around. But today is Friday and it is a good day. Today is payday!!! That is always good and on Friday we get soft pretzels delivered to us. The only way they could be better is if I could eat them as soon as they come out of the oven but since that isn't possible they are still at least soft when we get them. So I take what I can get.

Shower time

I think I am going to look for a couple of pretty fabric shower curtains when we get back to Florida. I am excited about decorating our new place. I am ready to make myself a very restful bathroom. I want it to look pretty and a place where you want to go to take that nice long bubble bath that I love so much.

Where to park

I am so tired of coming home from work or getting up in the morning and the people across from us have us just about blocked in. This morning their son must have come in late last evening and from the looks of it must have been two sheets to the wind cause the way he parked his piece of junk pickup truck made it next to impossible to get our car out and get me to work. I will be glad when we don't have to fight for parking rights in front of our own house.

Identical Twins

Well, one of my twin grandsons has had to wear glasses all of the time for about 3 years now. So when you looked at them from any distance you could always tell one from the other. They are actually mirror image twins. Meaning one is right handed and one is left handed. So it is like they are looking in the mirror at each other. So, now the other twin just had to get glasses that he will need to wear all of the time too. Now, what will we do to tell one from the other. My daughter has already called one of them by the other twins name. I tell you the truth I am too old for challenges like this.

Charge it

Times are very hard right now for almost everyone out there. It is not only hard making ends meet but let's face it sometimes it is hard to even get the ends to look at each other. But, there is still hope for people trying to obtain credit. I have been searching for a visa credit card application to try to obtain a visa card for us to use on our way back to Florida. So what I am looking for right now is instant approval so that if we qualify for the visa card there is time to get things in the works before we leave here. I do not want to be one of those people who get a card and run up a balance and then can't afford to pay the monthly bill. I want to use this card for those emergency situations that arrive from time to time. Then when the bill arrives I pay it and am ready for the next emergency to arrive.

Sunrise Sunset

You Crave an Important Life

Your dream is to life a live a life that leaves a mark

You'd like to have a mission or journey to complete, even if it takes years.

You want your life to be meaningful, and having a final goal brings you meaning.

You'd like to accomplish something big, if only to inspire others to believe it can be done.

The Sunset Test

I have to say I really believe this pretty much sounds like me. I want to leave a mark on the world when I am gone. The mark I long to leave is to leave the world a better place if even for just one person when I am gone. Many of you who know me know that my husband and I have lived and been missionaries to the nation of Haiti for many years. So hopefully with all of the work we have done there maybe life is better for someone there.

I am so tired

Today was a really rough day at work. I am so tired tonight that I could go to bed right now and sleep right though the night. I have decided that I am going to work two extra days at work before I leave there. I agreed to do it if they could pay me for the extra days when I leave there and not have them due the next week which would be the way they would be due. When I made the arrangements to work the extra days. The president of the company said it would be no problem to pay me in full when I leave and then said he wanted to tell me something. He said that he really hated to see me leave the company that in his words, "I was the best thing to ever happen to the company". I tell you that really made me feel good. In this day and age to many employers do not really appreciate their employees. I have always been the kind of employee who gives 110% to my job. My daddy always had a saying that you should never have to back up to take your paycheck. Meaning you should always know you did the best job possible and that you could look your employer eye to eye when you got your check. I have always tried to be that kind of employee.

The feed bag

I don't know what my problem is lately but I have been snacking at work like there is no tomorrow. I mean I have been eating candy, snack cakes, pop tarts and just about anything that comes across my path. If I keep this up I will need to check out something like Kansas City Plastic Surgeons to have some liposuction done to suck out the fat I am putting on. Luckly I am only going to be working there for another couple of weeks and maybe I will lay off the junk food and take back off the pounds I have surely put on.

Packing

We have been packing all weekend. I didn't know we had so much stuff. Plus it seems like every time I pack things from one area of the house more stuff magically appears in the same spot. We have a lot of it done but I hate packing and moving. I want to just have it all over and get there and get unloaded and unpacked and be done with it. Plus on top of packing I did laundry too. So now it is time for ice cream and to just relax for the rest of the evening.

Beautiful sight

Today we were coming home from having breakfast and we saw the most beautiful sight. I have to admit I did not take the picture since my camera does not have a great zoom lens on it. But we say hundreds and hundreds of Snow geese taking flight from the fields here in Pennsylvania. They were flying in the normal "V" formation and then we passed one of the fields and there were hundreds of them there. This geese are from the Antarctic and are absolutely beautiful to see flying. They actually seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. It was also a beautiful day here in Pennsylvania. Today it got to almost 70 degrees today and we got some things done outside that we needed to do. I plan to open the windows of the house tomorrow if it is still equally as nice outside.

I quit

Well I did it today. I gave my notice on my job. To be honest it was really a hard thing for me to do. When I started working with this company I didn't really think I was going to like the job I was doing. But the job has changed in the time that I have been there and I have really started enjoying my job. Plus I really like most of the people I work with. (there are a couple of exceptions) but hey you have those kind of co-workers no matter where you work. But I gave three weeks notice this morning. My boss completely understands my reasons for leaving my job. (I am not going to go into these reasons here) but that was a load off my back. I worried that for some reason they would not accept my notice and tell me to go ahead and leave. But they didn't and they are going to get someone hired so that I can train my replacement. I hating doing that cause I am one of those people who it is easier for me to do the job than to teach someone else how to do the job. But I will be a good girl and teach my replacement everything I know.

Home sweet home

I have some friends that are moving and they are in the process of locating A Real Property Management company to help them locate the perfect place to live. I know from experience that even though they say there are plenty of rental properties out there finding them can be another story altogether. I know people who have driven miles and miles and for hours and hours to try to find housing and it is out there just finding it is the difficult thing. I have every bit of confidence that with some expert assistance our friends will find just that perfect house and that they will have a wonderful move from Pennsylvania to the state of Ohio.

How low can you go?

Tonight
3/3/2009
Lo: 12°
Mostly clear in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 5 above. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Just thought I would put the forecast for the weather on my blog for tonight. I am so tired of being cold all of the time. I really thought I missed winter, spring, summer and fall. Well I enjoyed last spring, most of the summer and I loved Fall. But I am here to tell you I am not enjoying WINTER at all. I want to be warm. Please give me warmer weather. But guess that won't be happening tonight as you can see the low is supposed to be about 5 degrees and with even the low winds there will be a wind chill factor of probably around 0 so anyway you slice it that is cold.

Speak out

I am thinking about checking into T-shirts printing. I think I might just have something printed that will just let people know that I no longer love snow. We got about 5 to 6 inches of snow here again yesterday and it is so cold that you absolutely freeze to death when you step outside. So I just have to decide what I want my T-shirts to say.
