Harvest Time
We are about ready to start harvesting from the garden. OK, ALRIGHT so it is just two tomato plants in plastic pots sitting on my outdoor small size picnic table. But it is the best that we have done in years. We were given like 5 tomato plants and we planted them in two plastic flower pots and they started growing and growing and then they started blooming and blooming and then what to my wondering eyes did appear but actual tomatoes. They are a very small pear shaped tomato and I think one pot is yellow ones and the other pot is supposed to be red ones. But Randy is going to get his overalls, and work boots on and get a basket and go pic tomato's this afternoon for his supper enjoyment. OK so I admit it he is going to use a very small basket but hey it is something we have done and he will enjoy them I can tell you that.
I am a purest
OK anybody who knows me know that when it comes to food I am a total purest. I mean I am a meat and potatoes kind of girl. I don't do veggies of any sort so when I heard about the Great American Food Cook off I mentioned it to my husband and I could see that twinkle in his eye. This is a man who loves to cook and experiment with recipes. So I challenged him to come up with a good seafood recipe that he thought was a winner. I know when we lived in Florida they had major problems with the availability of Grouper so there were times when you could not obtain fresh Grouper at the market so I am a big fan of the positiveness of domestic seafood sustainability. I am here to tell you there is nothing better than a good fried Grouper sandwich. But I digress.... So as I type here, the husband is busy with his pen and paper comping up with his winning recipe. If anyone out there has a good recipe for seafood leave it for me in a comment and I guarantee you my husband will check it out and probably make it for himself. Here is the recipe from the Husband.
Cold Sweet Salmon Salad
2 pounds of Fresh salmon
4 Hard Boiled Eggs
1 pound of elbow macaroni
1 pound frozen Peas
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/8 cup Honey
1 medium Sweet Onion diced
Salt
Pepper
Broil Salmon and let cool. Flake Large pieces of salmo into a mixing bowl. Add the cooked elbow macaroni when it is cooled. Add sliced hard boiled eggs, 0nions and the frozen peas (after thawing do not cook peas).
Mix together the mayo, vinegar, and honey together (sweeten to taste by adding more honey if needed) salt and pepper to taste.
Take the Mayo dressing and mix with the salmon salad. Serve ice cold with crackers on the side.
Farm raised Salmon is ok to use but Fresh wild Salmon is much better!

I am not a wimp
You Are Not a Wimp |
In fact, you are an incredibly tough person. Your nerves do not get the better of you. You don't back down from challenges or intimidating situations. You love the thrill of conquer... so much so that it outweighs the fear of defeat. |
Boy this is really right I am not a wimp. As a matter of fact I am a second generation Bitch (when I need to be) I also raised two daughters who when needed can be just as bitchy as I am and my daughter Joy is raising her daughter (my granddaughter) to be a mini bitch. She will be the 4th generation of proud bitches.
Network me
Avanquest Software, a leading developer and publisher of business and consumer software for the global PC market, has released its new and powerful Avanquest Connection Manager tool, worth $29.95, for FREE. This title will save laptop users time and effort as it simplifies the process of detecting, selecting and connecting to different networks, printers and other peripherals whenever they change their location.
Today, mobile computer users often access public and private networks from many places they visit, from coffee shops and offices to airports and hotels. This usually requires different types of internet connections with a variety of different settings to be able to work properly, requiring the system to be reconfigured every time you move from one network to another. Avanquest Connection Manager allows laptop users to save time and avoid frustration by automatically:
* Detecting and storing preferred settings for each location.
* Selecting and identifying the settings if they return to a previously visited location.
* Connecting to preferred settings and peripherals for that particular location
Avanquest Connection Manager enables laptop users to automatically disconnect and reconnect to different networks and peripherals every time they change location, making it much more than just a wireless connection manager. Preferred network connection settings for the internet, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), email clients, default printers and disk drives are all remembered for future use, allowing users to visit locations and not have to re-enter any configuration information.

Healthy Choices
Back when I was in school (which was not quite the dark ages but pretty close to it) healthy eating was not really given much consideration. We had pizza, soft drinks, cake and pie and all kinds of things that did not promote good nutrition. But, thankfully things are changing in the schools. YoNaturals - Healthy Student Vending is becoming more and more popular. Unhealthy snacks are being replaced with snacks that are natural and now even organic. Kids are not really even noticing the difference because the snacks are so delicious. My granddaughter and grandsons are going to be going to a brand new school this year so I hope that they willb e give a more healthy diet. They really tend to be hooked on junk foods so some natural and organic foods would be great for them.
No where to lay my head
Do to circumstances beyond my control we find ourselves in a situation that we have never been in during our entire marriage. (which has been a long time) We as this week will have no bed to sleep in. I won't go into all of the details but we are now searching high and low for a bed to sleep in. I am very upset about this situation as you can imagine but just need to make the best of the situation and try to find a solution for the situation we find ourselves in at this time. So everyone out there think good thoughts for us that we can find a new bed to sleep on before the weekend.

Oceânico Group Steps Up to Success in Homes Overseas Awards
Oceânico’s Stepping Stones Fractional Ownership Purchasing Solution Wins Gold
18 December 2007 – Oceânico Group, the leading developer of quality beach, leisure and golf resorts in Portugal, has won a Gold award in the Best Fractional Ownership Scheme category at the 2007 Homes Overseas Awards for its Stepping Stones solution.
The Gold award recognises the best fractional ownership purchasing solution worldwide, with this year’s award seeing over 100 companies shortlisted, representing more than 20 overseas property destinations. Stepping Stones won a Gold award for the choice of quality developments at which it is available, together with its ease of use, clarity and investment potential.
Oceânico launched Stepping Stones as a quarter share ownership solution in 2006, with 12th share ownership launched in 2007 providing prices from just €25,000. Stepping Stones is available at the four-star Vila Baia resort in Praia da Luz and the five-star Amendoeira Golf Resort near Silves, which features two championship golf courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jnr.
Simon Burgess, director of Oceânico Group, said: “Everyone at Oceânico is extremely proud to win the Homes Overseas Award for Stepping Stones. We are committed to providing all of our customers with a high quality property investment, and have spent a lot of time ensuring that Stepping Stones offers the best possible solution to fractional ownership.”
Brigitte Urbano, Fractional Sales Manager at Oceânico added: “With luxury properties, a stable Portuguese property market and a range of mortgage options now available, Stepping Stones offers a strong investment opportunity for anyone looking to get a foot on the overseas property ladder, or for those who want to spread their investments. This award highlights the quality that now exists in fractional ownership, and we are very pleased to be recognised internationally for our service.”
To support purchasers Oceânico offers mortgages for UK homeowners on the Stepping Stones quarter share scheme, with either a 60% mortgage secured on the membership certificate or a 95% mortgage secured on a UK property. Subject to terms and conditions.
The Homes Overseas Awards were established in 2004 to recognise and award quality in the overseas property market. Since its launch the awards have been expanded to cover a broad range of countries and products that are now attracting interest from British consumers. The 2007 awards were held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on 3 December.

O say Jill can you see
These are the ones she likes I think.
I should play what?
You Should Play the Saxophone |
You are charismatic, friendly, and very uninhibited. You have a lot of personal expression to bring your music. Improvisational and informal, you can't deal with an instrument that has too many rules or complexities. You are much more interested in creating unique solos than immersing yourself in music theory. You have a lot of style, and you definitely are one smooth operator. And while you may not play perfectly, no one's going to accuse you of being boring. Your dominant personality characteristic: being very outgoing Your secondary personality characteristic: your flair for the unique and dramatic |

This is a video that Jill took with her new Flip video camera on a walk in Holland with Alia. I used mine the other night at the fireworks. But, there was this stupid tree between me and the fireworks. Other than that it worked fine.
