This Memory Walk is the largest event in the nation to raise the awareness and also funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. They need volunteers of all ages to help in the fight against this terrible disease. There are going to be walks in more than 600 communities. A typical Memory Walk would be a 2 - 3 mile walk and would be held on a weekend morning this coming fall. All you have to do is teak up with the Alzheimer's Association and you can walk with a purpose. We need to move closer to a world without this terrible disease of Alzheimer's. Together, we can move a nation and do away with the dread of Alzheimer's.

Always Remember
Several years ago my Father in Law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We found this out at the same time that we learned my Mother in Law was having a series of strokes. This to say the least was a very hard time on my husband. Being the oldest child he took the responsibility of taking care of his parents. My husbands parents have both since passed on. Fortunately my Father in Law never progressed to the point that he didn't know any of his family. Although he did have some pretty bad days during the course of his disease. I have since learned about the Alzheimer's Memory Walk which I really believe is a wonderful thing.
