I knew there was a very good explanation as to why I was putting on weight and now I know. It is just the fact that I am so smart. Yeah right! If you believe that I have some ocean front property in Kansas that I will sell you cheap.

Yep this is pretty much me. I am just a real hoot I tell you. I have always been a pretty analytical person and really tend to over think almost everything I do. So maybe I just need to lighten up and do something without thinking for once. OK, I am going to go fix me a Pepsi right now without even thinking about it. Well, can't do that I just thought about it first. I will have to think of something else but I can't think of it first or it will not be on the spur of the moment.

Reinvent

I have been hearing people talk lately about Reinventing America. I only know that something has to be done in our country. Now don't get me wrong I still believe we are the greatest county in the world but I also believe we are on the wrong track and the light we see at the end of the tunnel is the headlight on the train coming directly at us. So we have to wake up and smell the coffee and get things going in the right direction here in the good ole US of A.

Freedom day

Today was our last day doing our part time job. We have been doing phone polling. Which means we call people and ask them stupid questions. Then people who think they are very smart try to take those stupid questions and the more stupid answers and say this is what people are thinking about what ever the subject was. Our last poll we worked on this was was an political poll. We were basically asking people what they thought things were like in the country since the election and how they thought things were actually going. I can't believe how many people seem to have their heads in buried in the sand and seem to think that things are going just fine in the country. I mean come on all you have to do is to listen to just one newscast (by that I mean a real newscast) a week and listen to how things are going and you will know that we are headed down a slippery slope and we are sliding down the slope at a rapid pace. But guess they just don't want to wake up and smell to coffee brewing. So guess I will just let them sleep. But back to the purpose of this post. I am now officially through working the second job. I can' t begin to say how relieved I am about that. I have been working 7 days a week for weeks now and to be honest I am just tired. We worked many evenings and then every Saturday and Sunday. I am looking forward to next weekend where I don't have to go anyplace if I don't want to. I can just stay home in my PJ's all day if I want to.

Breakfast Nightmare

Randy and I went out to breakfast yesterday morning before we had to go work the part time job. We couldn't go to the job we wanted to go. For some reason it was closed, they always had good food and the portions and service and prices were great. OK, so they didn't have many customers. But I digress. We found another restaurant that had a lot of cars outside and we went in and got a seat pretty quickly. But had I know what was was coming I would have gladly waited for another table. We sat down and the waitress was right at my elbow asking what we wanted to drink. Good sign. We ordered our drinks and then placed our order for food. Randy got an omelet and I got creamed beef on toast and hash brown potatoes. I am not a big fan of hash brown potatoes. I don't know why just are not my favorite way to fix potatoes. Well, our food comes out with pretty good speed and I had taken a couple of bites. I catch movement out of the corner of my eye. (ok in the end that is not all I caught) I knew immediately what happened to me. The father at the table is rushing a young boy out of the room and the boy has his hands up over his mouth. Well he is right behind me and I feel it hit my back. I tell my husband and he says look and see and I told him I really don't want to look. I am sitting there trying to figure out what to do and then from my left I see movement again. This time it is the little boys mother and she lays 3 napkins on the table beside me and says it is all over your back. She kept telling me she was so humiliated and how sorry she was. I told her not to worry about it I was a mother and grandmother and it was ok. Fortunately I had on a turtle neck top and also an oxford blouse over it. I unbottoned the sleeves to the blouse and slipped it off and rolled it into a ball and placed it on the floor and asked the waitress for a plastic bag and put it in there and. I actually managed to finish my breakfast and never missed a beat. I actually think most of the people in the room never knew what had taken place. I really am proud that I managed to keep my cool through the entire incident because had I not it would have really been much harder on the mother and would not have changed anything that had already happened. o Oh, sorry I tried to find a picture of a boy doing a projectile barf but all I could find was that stupid dog. So I went with it.

Watching you

I have to be honest I have never been able to understand the ability to track me everywhere I go on the internet. I know it has something to do with proxy but to understand it I have no clue. I would love to have complete digital privacy on the internet so hopefully that day will come soon. So this is something that I think I will be checking on cause to tell you the truth I don't go places on the web that I should not go but I still want my privacy where I do go.

I want to be warm

This is the way I feel at work every day. Where I work is a big huge building. But we are a smaller size company. So to save money they only turn the heat on in our individual offices. The hallway which is very long and the stairs are not heated. So I actually wear long johns every day to work because it is so cold out in the hall and the stairways. I am so tired of being cold I just can't stand it. Right now it is 19 degrees but the wind is blowing about 20 mph and should do that all day long. So just give me spring. I actually also have a little heater in my office that I turn on from time to time to warm up. But some days I really wish I had a pair of those gloves without the fingers so that I could still type on my computer and basically keep my hands warm. So Take me away I want to be warm again.

Gone Fishing

As a kid we always went to Florida for two weeks every summer for our family vacation. I remember once I had saved my money and talked my parents into letting me go deep sea fishing but never did I go everglades fishing. I went out on two trips and never caught anything at all maybe I should have gone everglades fishing. I also used to go fishing with a another kid who was there every year on one of the draw bridges. We used to actually catch enough there to have a fish fry for a few of the families at the motel every year. If we had gone everglades fishing we might have fed a lot more people I can't believe that the one thing I never thought of was going Everglades Fishing. We were in Ft. Lauderdale so we were so close to everglades fishing but it was one thing I never thought of doing going everglades fishing. This just might be something I have to do sometimes. I really would love to take all three of my grandchildren fishing so just might check out everglades fishing. Ok so how many times can you say everglades fishing really fast. I am probably good for two lets see. Everglades fishing..... Everglades fishing..... Everglaldes fishing..... Everglades fishing. Nope I managed to say it four more times.

I feel terrible

I feel terrible this morning. I (well we) have colds and have had them now for a week. I would have though that we would have been on the down side of this stupid cold but I actually started feeling worse yesterday than ever. Maybe it is because it was the end of the week and I had to work all week. Or maybe it was the fact that I also have to work the stupid second job both today and Sunday. I don't know what the reason it but I wish that the truck that hit and ran over me had not backed up to see what he hit and ran over me again. To be honest I am not so much sneezing and coughing and my sinuses are absolutely killing me. We actually went to bed about 9:00 PM and I was asleep before my head even hit the pillow I think. So you would think that I would feel much better this morning. Right? WRONG! I still feel terrible. So I guess this means that things can only get better from here on. Cause surely I have hit the bottom of the cold pile. Please let this be the bottom of the cold pile and let me start working my way back up out of this.

First dance

This is a picture of my "Baby Girl" better know as my granddaughter. As I said before she went to her first Father - Daughter dance on Friday night at her school. She is only 10 but she is growing up so fast it makes my head spin. I really miss her and her brothers and my daughters so much. But this is about her and her dance. She called me on the way home from the dance to tell me all about it. She started off by telling me that she went to the dance in a lemo. Well she kept that story up for the entire conversation and I finally found out that she was just pulling my leg. She went in her daddy's car which just happens to be a Jag. But she had a very good time. She had strawberries dipped in the chocolate fountain and lots of other stuff she said to eat. She had a very pretty pink carnation wrist corsage and she was very tired when the evening was over and was ready to go home and go to bed and have sweet dreams.

The truth of the matter

You have to know by now that my heart is in Haiti. Well maybe you didn't really know it but now you do. It is a shame but I am seeing some of the same things happening in Haiti that happened in the Soviet Union back in 1932 - 1933. There is a famine happening in the Nation of Haiti right now which has been going on there for years and only gets worse. In the Soviet Union it was referred to by the term "Golodomor" which means "mass hunger" or "great hunger" which cause the death of millions of victims through the Soviet Union. I guess now they are attempting to change the spelling of the term "Goldomor" to holodomor. and by doing this make it sound more like "holocaust"

But during the Goldomore in the Soviet Union the communist government actually seized grains from the peasants and exported most of the acricultural output to the West in order to sustain the rapid economic transformation, industrialization policy designed by Joseph Stalin. The Scholars estimate that about 6-8 million peasants died during the famine of 1932-1933. I am not really sure if this could be considered as a genocide attempt or maybe just greed or stupidity. I don't know but like I said there are a lot of people every day who die in Haiti from starvation, Men, Women and Children die there every day because they can not afford the most basic of food which is rice.

Got it!

I got my new tote bag and it is everything I hoped it would be and much more. I can't believe the workmanship and the quality of the material. It is fabulous to say the least. I have already put my things in it to take to work tomorrow. I am one of these women who have "things" I feel the need to take to work. I take my Day Timer and I have my own selections of ink pens I take to use at work. Plus I take my water bottle to work. I am trying to drink more water and less soft drinks. So now I have everything ready to go to work. I even got energetic and changed purses. I am not one of these women who change purses every day to match shoes or outfit. I change when I get tired of carrying the a purse and then I pick out another one from my collection of purses.

Wide awake

I have been wide awake since before 5:00 AM. I am really getting tired of this not getting a good nights sleep. I actually slept a little later this morning that recently. Recently I have been awake at anytime from 3:00 AM on. I don't know what my problem is. But with working and stuff I really need my beauty sleep, trust me. I did not go to bed until after 11:30 last night so I really thought I would sleep all night. I would love to stay home today and just veg out but that is not likely to happen. I am swamped at work. I seem to be one of those people that maybe because I work hard and do a good job, my boss keeps giving me more work to do. There is a gal at work who they keep taking work away from her cause she can't seem to get anything done except go to lunch and the bathroom and you guessed it I keep getting the work they take away from her. Plus there is a gal at our other location that is doing a worse than lousy job and they are taking a ton of work from her and yep you got it I get that work too. I mean a person can only do so much in a day's time but they don't seem to understand that.

Cash Flow

I have never seen the economy as bad as it is right now. Oh, I know there are people out there who have seen things worse I am just saying that in my lifetime I haven't seen things worse. People are having a terrible time controlling their own personal finance conditions. It used to be that you just dropped down to your local bank and walked out with a loan but things are not that easy now. So we have been thinking about a loan to help us out with some things and I am now trying to decide where to turn. Now I could either apply for a just a short term cash advance or a complete loan by applying online. How easy can things get for us we don't even have to get dressed to apply for a loan now. With their network of lenders, I can look securely for my personal loan even when I have no prior credit history or even if my credit history is not quite so good.

New tote bag

I am excited I have ordered myself a new Tote Bag. OK Jill and Joy I know you are going to tell me I don't need another bag. But just don't say anything. I have wanted a tote bag from this company for a long long long time and as of tomorrow I will actually have one. It is not quite the color of the picture I have posted but for some reason the one I ordered is no longer showing as an available color. Oh, well just as long as I get the one I wanted. I will be a happy camper. I wanted to be sure that they shipped it to the right address and not to my old Florida address so I decided to do my order by a live chat. So the guy was trying to help me and something that he said should be there was not there so he called me on the phone and said that for my trouble he would not charge me the shipping charges. I was a happy camper to hear that I was saving about $6.00 for and they are sending it by air so I get it really quick. So as of now I am very happy with with this company.

Tax Time

Well, it is that time of the year. I actually spent all evening doing our Federal and State taxes on my computer. For the first time I have actually done an e-file for both. We should get money back from both. I can't believe that the state of Pennsylvania kept about half of everything that we paid in. But if we can get the half of it back I guess that is better than nothing. Not that I would have been upset with getting all of it back. But beggars can't be choosers I guess. So keep all fingers and other body parts crossed that we get both refunds back really quick so that we can have the money for necessary needs.

Spring cleaning

When spring gets here we really need to do some work outside at our house. We have just a small concrete patio outside but to tell you the truth it is really sad looking. It is so stained up I really need to use some good concrete cleaner to make it look presentable. I guess the first thing I will need to do is to figure out what all of the stains are. I know that it is really dirty with basic dirt and leaves and I am sure there is some grease and paint there just to name a few of the stains. I know it is just a small area but it would be nice enough when I get it cleaned up for us to have a nice place to sit out in the evening. That is when the weather gets warmer. Cause to be honest right now it is like 19 degrees and I am not so much into sitting out in the yard.

The Hulk, Spiderman and Princess

We just talked to the kids and they were all so wound up I pity the adults who have to get them calmed down and into bed shortly. They had all been out to eat and the place where they went it just happened to be kids night. They had a clown there who I guess was doing face paintings and balloon art. So one boy is the incredible Hulk, one is Spiderman and my baby girl is a princess. The boys have full face makeup which means it has to come off before they can even go to bed. So like i said I am glad I am not the adult who has to have them in bed shortly. They have really had a rough time lately so it was good for them to get out and have a good time like they did tonight.

Ring the dinner bell please

I am so hungry and right now Randy is in the kitchen fixing our supper. It really smells so good, we are having bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy. I know it is not a dieters supper but we are not pigging out on any one thing but just having a little of everything. I have not been eating lunch at work so I really feel like I can have a bit more for my supper at night. When we get moved back to Florida with our girls we are all going to cut down and try to eat a little healthier but right now cash is kind of slim with us and we have to eat things we have on hand in the cabinet and the refrigerator. So it is a tough job but somebody has to do it so it might as well be me.

Warm it up please

Well guess we had a day of nice weather on Sunday but all day today we have had snow flurries and might get about an inch of snow tonight. I can tell you I am really tired of putting on my coat, gloves, and scarf every time I go out the door. I really could use some Scottsdale Arizona weather. Although I am not overly fond of extremely hot weather I still would rather be a little warm than freezing my nose off. But for now I have to be content and I am very thankful that we do have a good heater in our car. I can remember when we had cars with no heat and no defrosters and I used to put small candles on the dashboard to melt the ice off of the windshield so I am thankful for what we have right now.

This is pretty much me to a "T" I really prefer sweet and rich foods. There is absolutely nothing low fat in my kitchen. Who in the world would actually eat a sugar free cookie I mean what would be the use of a cookie with no sugar. Get a grip on life and give me some sugar. Or I could use some brownies and a bowl of popcorn smothered in real butter. Bring it on!

Super Bowl Pits

Well, the super bowl is over and I am not a happy person. I know that might surprise some people since we are living in PA but I was not for the Steelers at all. I really wanted Arizona to win the game but guess it wasn't to be. I am just a very sore looser. When I pick a team I am for them completely and I was completely for Arizona. They have never won a super bowl and now the Steelers have 6 wins and for that I am not happy.

Open a store of your own

I know somebody who sells a lot online and has tried to get me to do the same thing but I don't like the idea of having to pay a fee to sell what I want to sell. Sp what I did was to Create a Free Online Store at Bizium.com. It was so simple and quick to accomplish. You can include a picture of what you are selling and they have a ton of categories to choose from so you don't have to put up with being stuck with your items in some vague general category where no one will ever find what you have to sell. So if you are interested in setting up your own store you have got to go over there and check it out for yourself.
