Let it Rain

We just got the Mother of all storms go through here. In about 45 minutes we got over 2" of rain in my Grandson's rain gauge. It is still raining just a little but the major part of the storm has passed over us at this point. We were sitting out on the back patio and were watching the clouds roll over. They were moving from the east and the west at the same time. Then we heard on the TV that was exactly what was happening. The eastern and western sea breeze were meeting like right over our house. Thar was not a good thing to have happen. They were saying that there was some rotation in the clouds but thankfully nothing came of that part of the storm.

Upcoming Project

I have been working on a project lately for the church we will be working in and one of the things I have been looking for is getting them set up with a dedicated server. Right now they are well to be honest doing things half way. I am a firm believer that anything worth doing is worth doing right. So I told them I would take over this project and do the research and then get things on the right track. I really believe the way for them to go is to have multiple domain hosting. This way they could have domains for different ministries in the church. For instance they could have one for the program for Children, another for the Youth, yet another for Adults, One for Seniors. Plus any other outreach programs they have such as the food bank they are putting into operation. There is no end to the possibilities for them to get the message across to people out there looking for a good place to take their family to worship and to be ministered to. Are you covered

Right now Randy and I have absolutely no insurance at all not to mention any Term Life Insurance. I know we need it and it is something that I am in the process of checking into. It is just that in the past there has been not enough money to pay for it. But I am researching sites where I can get good coverage for a decent premium. So it may be in the near future for us. We just have to find the right coverage for the right premium. There is so much talk right now about uninsured people and as much as I hate to admit right now we are part of that number. But hopefully I can change that pretty soon.

Baby Girl

Well my granddaughter is not going to be my "baby girl" much longer she is getting ready to turn 11 in just short of a month. But next week she is getting braces on her teeth. It seems like just yesterday when she was just learning to walk and getting her first tooth. I don't think I am ready for this rite of passage. She is growing up in so many ways and yet there are times when if I look real closely I can still catch a ever so slight glimpse of my "baby girl". Somehow I think there will always be just a little bit of Baby girl in her. Hey a "Nannie" can always dream.

Gear up

I remember when we live in North Dakota many many years ago. Well there was a fire at a nearby residence to us. Downsizing

Randy and I have decided that it is time to downsize some of our possessions. We have had things that have been boxed up for several years now and it is time to do one of many things with our possessions.

• We can choose to keep something because it has sentimental value to us, or we need it or well we just want it.
• We can choose to give something away to either family or strangers because they either want it or you can convince them they want it.
• We could choose to sell something..... But, that would mean we would have to have something of value. So, ok that option is out for us.
• We could give something away as a charitable donation. We do have some things we are going to do this with.
• We could choose to just throw it away in the trash. Which we have some things that we are going to do that with.

This is not an easy thing for me to do as I am a self confessed pack rat. I am one of those people who hate to get rid of anything. I always have the fear I will get rid of something today and then tomorrow decide that I absolutely need what I just gave away. But I am going to do this and hopefully I will never miss what I have decided to give away or throw away. So keep all of your fingers crossed that I don't go running through the house in the middle of the night taking back things I gave away today.

Saw this story this morning on Fox News and just had to put this on my blog. I have seen what airlines can do to your luggage first hand believe me. Although I thought it was probably the band of gorillas that they had who actually stomped and threw your luggage around. I say go guy get your money the airlines owes you.

Make a dent

My daughter Joy just recently purchased a car that could use just a little bit of assistance from body shops downey in California. Fourth of July

Here is hoping that everyone out there in the US of A has a very good and safe 4th of July. Today is nothing special for us. We are just hanging out here at the house. As a matter of fact I slept this afternoon cause for some reason my body decided not to sleep during the night.

Walls closing in

When you think life is tough and the walls are closing in on you just think it could be worse. You could be this lizard in this birds mouth. I know lizards are fast but as for me I will place my bets on the bird having a lizard snack and not on the lizard doing the victory dance of freedom. So as for me guess things could be worse. Although some days I really don't think so. But guess they can so I will try not to complain. (much)
