Feelings

Sometimes I feel like I am a salmon swimming upstream or like I am on the outside looking in. I don't know how I feel really. But sometimes I feel like I don't do anything right and that I have the entire world against me. I know I am not making any sense but to me it makes perfect sense. I just want to do something right in my lifetime and at this point I don't feel like I have done anything right. I just want to be happy and to make people around me happy. But, all I feel like I do is to make people mad at me. How can a person try to hard only to always fail. Guess that is the story of my life I have always felt like I was a failure, failed my parents, failed my sisters, failed my husband, failed my children, and failed my grandchildren. Guess some people are meant for greatness and then there is me...

Need a break

Right now things in our country are pretty rough for people financially speaking. I would love to be able to have some Tax Relief for Randy and I. I was hoping to get a federal tax refund this year but uncle Sam did not see fit to give me one. To be hones we do not have a lot of debts. I mean we don't have any credit cards and things such as that so we are not in need of debt consolidation. Although I know that a lot of people are in dire need of such services. But we do have some tax debt that I would love to get taken care of sometime so that I don't have it hanging over my head. I can only hope that things in our county will get better soon. Although, to be honest I don't see things getting better anytime soon. I just don't have a lot of faith in the economy situation in the near future. I don't even see our government giving the average working man or woman any tax relief anytime soon. I know as far as I am concerned it is not a wise decision to put the IRS off when you owe them money but what is a person supposed to do when they don't have money to pay your taxes. I hope to get everything paid shortly and just do the best I can do.

Yipee

Today the cable man finally came. We now have cable TV, Internet and home phone. Yipee!!!! I finally can sit on my bed (even if it is an air mattress on the floor) and get online and watch my TV that I bought last weekend at a yard sale for $15.00 and Randy has the TV in the family room that I got for $25.00. His is a 27" TV and mine is a 13" TV which is fine with me as long as I can see it from my bed and get online whenever I want to I am somewhat of a happy camper.

Love at first bite

Since we have moved back to Florida we have really been enjoying being outside sitting on the back patio. There is just one major issue. Well, maybe more than one issue but one that I will discuss right now and that is Florida Mosquito's. I kid you not there are some of them that I think could pick up a grown man and cart him off. I think we need to check in to the process of getting some mosquito traps for the patio. There is not only just the problem of being a bumpy itchy person the next morning. But there is also the risk of the diseases that mosquito's can carry such as the West Nile Virus and probably a ton of other things to worry about. The other evening we were sitting out there on the patio and just as the sun went down. I am telling you it was like someone just opened the Mosquito gate and they came in like a swarm. We about killed each other trying to get into the back door. So, to check into the possibility of getting rid of them seems better and better every day. It is either that or spend every evening in the house and what is the purpose of that?

Cable Guy

On Wednesday the Cable Guy comes to our house. I will be so glad to see him I can't explain it in words. We don't have TV right now. Well, Randy has a couple of channels he is getting with the Rabbit Ears hooked to the TV in the family room but as far as real TV it is non existent for now. Plus I won't even explain the process of getting online to check email and such. But for us as of Wednesday those problems will be a thing of the past.

Going Crazy

Right now the grandchildren are about to drive me crazy and trust me that is not a very long trip for me at this moment. They all seem to want to play their recorders at the same time and even though they say they are playing the same song it sure does not sound like they are playing the same notes let alone the same song. Then there are the temper fits that get thrown from time to time. But surely I will return from the crazy trip with some of my sanity remaining.

Time in a bottle

I would love to find a place where it could be Best of Time - Where Time Lasts Forever but I seem to be in a place where there is just time. As a matter of fact I can't even tell the time cause my battery is dead in my watch. I have to say I would love to wear a Rolex watch but really don't think that they are within my budget right now. But who knows maybe some day I will look down at my wrist and there will be a fancy Rolex watch there for me to tell time on. But in the meantime I will just have to settle for getting a battery for my watch I own now.

Florida weather

They say in Florida if you don't like the weather just stick around for 15 minutes and it will change. That is pretty much true except for the fact during the summer it is hot, hot, hot. If you do not have good air conditioning you will melt like the wicked witch of the west in the Wizard of Oz. Believe me I know because there have been times we either did not have A/C or it was broken or after some of the hurricanes we went through the power was off for days at a time. So trust me if you live in Florida you want to make sure that the air conditioning in in good working order. Trust me on this one cause I know it for a fact.

Well i don't know about me being a liver but I do like liver. I like chicken livers and I like beef liver. I am resilient that I know. We were talking last night and our family can go through hard tough times and come out better on the other end. I guess you could say we are survivors in life.

New addition

We have two new additions to the family as of yesterday. Jill and I went out in the morning to check out some yard sales to see what we could find. We wound up at this one house that out on the driveway had this cage with two guinea pigs in it. Joy had been talking about getting the kids one or maybe a hampster. But this lady was selling two guinea pigs along with their cage which is on wheels and everything that she had for $20.00. Her only request was that she didn't want someone to purchase them that was going to feed them to a snake or to some kind of person who makes a diet from eating guinea pigs. I assured her that neither was the case for out family. So now for $20.00 we got about $200.00 worth of equipment and guinea pigs. The guinea pigs alone sell for $35.00 each. So needless to say Joy and the kids were all very excited. Oh their names right now are Elvis and Rascal. We might decide to change them later but have to come up with something that would be good for two males.
