Be Prepared

Being prepared is not just for the Boy Scouts. A few years ago here in Florida we got hit in one season with not one but three hurricanes Charlie was the first, then Francis and finally Jeanne hit us. When these storms hit us in Central Florida we had lived in the state for over 20 years and had not had a hurricane hit central Florida since 1960 so we did not have any idea what to expect. We were without electric for days each storm. Which meant the gas stations could not pump gas the grocery stores could not sell groceries and they lost all of their frozen food and fresh meat. It was a hard time to get through. It was a couple of days before the Red Cross was here to help so for that time people were basically on their own. Are you ready for an emergency.
