Teriffic Thursday

Today is Thursday. What does that mean you ask? Well let me tell you. Today is the last day of the week that we have homework to help three third graders with. They do not have homework on Friday nights. Last night was an absolute nightmare and not on Elm Street with the homework issues. You would think that 3 children all in the third grade at the same school would have somewhat the same homework. Right? Wrong! I know the teachers have explained that all classes will not work at the same speed and I can understand that but why can't they at least all have one thing that they are doing at the same time. Then this week the paper that my Granddaughter brought home with her spelling words on had them written in cursive. She has not been taught as of yet how to write in cursive so therefore she can't read cursive either. So she did not know what her spelling words were. Sometimes I really question the education system in the state of Florida.
