Exciting Week Ahead

This is going to be a very exciting week here in our home. We are getting ready for the birthday of my twin grandsons. They will turn 8 on Friday. Wow where have 8 years gone, it seems like just yesterday that they were little (and I do mean little) babies. They weighed about 3 and 5 pounds when they were born. But they are growing up it seems so quickly. Some days I do miss being able to hold them both asleep on my chest... but I digress. Back to the birthday week. We are busy trying to get two boys to both decide on the same birthday dinner and the same birthday cake at the same time. On the birthday dinner they have thought of everything from PB&J sandwiches to a full homemade Chinese dinner. Then they have spent hours going through a cake cookbook trying to pick a cake that they both want. They will have to make their final decision sometime today because we have to get everything that is needed to produce said meal and cake.

Hoping for a Quiet Day!

Today I woke up, (which is always a good thing to do) cause it sure beats not waking up. I was hoping for a very quiet day since it is cloudy and looks like it is going to be a rainy day out. But... how do you have a quiet day when you are 1 of 11 people living in the house. Well, you don't so the next best thing to do is to put your earphones on and turn on your MP3 player and turn the volume up full blast and listen to your favorite music. But in thinking about it if you have Wynton Marsalis blasting at full volume in your ears does that constitute as a quiet day or is that an oxymoron? Oh well, for me this is the best it is going to get.
