Rain Rain go away

I know that we need rain and I also know that this is the month of April. April is supposed to bring April showers so that we can have May flowers. But, I would settle for one less flower in May if we could have one sunny day right now in April. We seem to have had quite a bit of rain the last few days. I know some places pretty close to us got about 5" of rain yesterday. I really hope that when it is time to walk to the bus stop to get the kids after school that it is not raining. I don't want the sun to be beating down on us but no rain. I would settle for some clouds but I repeat NO RAIN! It is a 20 minute walk to the bus stop and then a 20 minute walk home so that would be 40 minutes of walking in the rain plus what ever time we have to stand and wait on the stupid bus. So again I say no rain.

Storms

The weather lately has really been strange all around the country. Right now we are very cloudy here in central Florida and it looks like rain. Last night we made a Target run to the new Target store that just opened and when we came out it was raining cats and dogs. Joy went and got the car and pulled it right up front so we could load everything into it without getting soaked. We were not too wet by the time we got home and backed the car up to the garage and ran in and opened the garage door and threw everything in there. But, I guess that north Florida is really having worse weather than us. They have had a tornado there. I just pray that we don't have any that happen here where we are. Right now it is just cloudy and windy and kind of dreary here.

Hoping for a Quiet Day!

Today I woke up, (which is always a good thing to do) cause it sure beats not waking up. I was hoping for a very quiet day since it is cloudy and looks like it is going to be a rainy day out. But... how do you have a quiet day when you are 1 of 11 people living in the house. Well, you don't so the next best thing to do is to put your earphones on and turn on your MP3 player and turn the volume up full blast and listen to your favorite music. But in thinking about it if you have Wynton Marsalis blasting at full volume in your ears does that constitute as a quiet day or is that an oxymoron? Oh well, for me this is the best it is going to get.
