What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

This Saturday is going to be my Birthday. I have to say it does not excite me at all. For one thing it only means I am another year older. To be honest I don't remember the last time I was excited waiting for my birthday. To me it is just another day of the year. You are another day older not actually another year older. Just take life one day at a time that is hard enough who wants to take life a year at a time.

In over your head

Right now I know that things are really tough for people financially. Me for example I do not have a job right now. We moved and I have to find a job because well like everybody else we need money. You know the saying money is not the most important thing in the world but it is way ahead of whatever is in second place. But one thing I don't have to actually worry about is searching out any kind of Credit Card Debt Settlement and for that I am thankful. We have pretty much lived with the fact that if we don't have money for something we don't get it. But I know people out there do need help with the credit cards. Some of these people have just gotten in over their heads. I believe it can actually just sneak up on a person. One day you have a good job and you use your credit card just like you have a thousand times before and wham!!!! The next day or week or month you lose your job due to the stupid economy situation our country is in right now. So now you are left with the decision to pay off the credit cards or to purchase crazy things like food, rent, and electric. That is when you really need to get some sort of professional help. You may have options that you don't even realize you have. You can put a couple of debts together and actually maybe have a smaller payment that the two original debts were when they were separate.

That is probably my nickname "Grumpy" I am just in one of those moods doesn't seem like I can do anything right sometimes. I am sure somebody out there knows what I mean when I say that. No matter what you do or what you say it is always wrong and you tend to tick someone off. So there are days you are just better off not seeing or talking to anyone at all even yourself.

I am one of those people who hate and I mean hate going to a dentist. To me it doesn't make any difference who or where the dentist is located. I mean it could be a Sacramento Dentist or a Dentist here in Florida. I just have a dread about going to the dentist. Thankfully my grandchildren are nothing like me. They love going to the dentist. My daughter had to reschedule their dentist appointments because of her work schedule and my granddaughter was really upset. I am glad for them they do don't mind going to see a dentist. They are going to need braces especially the boys more than my granddaughter. But at least for the going to the dentist is not something that they are afraid of. Maybe if I had had a good dentist when I was a child things might be different for me. But I don't have real good memories of him. But then that was back in the dark ages. I know that there are great dentists out there now and that their technology has really come a long way. So I just might look for a dentist in the near future. Who knows?

Spring has sprung Fall has fell

Hopefully you know the rest but if you don't it has something to do with summer is here and it is hot as _ _ _ _. It has been so hot here for the last few days and it is only May. Well welcome back to the state of Florida. I don't know why we always end back up living in Florida. Except for the fact that our girls and grandchildren live here. So that is reason enough but to tell the truth living in Florida is not all it is cracked up to be. Unless you have the lifestyle of the rich and famous and live on the coast in a luxury condo Florida is not that great of a place to live. Oh well I will just have to learn to live with the fact that I might not have a lot of money but I am rich in Family.

Behind the mask

I remember when I was a kid picking out Halloween Costumes usually meant in my case I went as the following. I usually put on my cowboy hat and my Roy Rogers guns. Yes I was a Roy Rogers fan. But in this day and age kids absolutely have to have the latest and greatest Halloween Costumes if it is something to do with the latest Movie character or whatever is the hot thing with kids. I remember the year my youngest daughter went as Casper the Ghost. She was only about 3 years old and was the cutest thing. I think I have a picture of her somewhere I really must look it up and show it to her kids. They will get a big kick out of it.

Homework Time

This is probably the only excuse that my grandchildren have not come up with yet as to why they did not, can not or will not do their respective homework assignments. They have used just about every other reason imaginable to man. They frequently use the excuse that they have homework in a certain subject but they forgot to bring that book home from school. They will also say they don't have paper, can't find a pencil or they just plain don't want to do homework. I can't say that between you and me I don't understand their feeling. I as a student in grade and high school hated homework. I mean come on you are in school all day long and then you come home only to do homework. Give me a break and let kids be kids so that they can play outside when they get home from school.

Our Gator

Although this is not our actual alligator that we have in the lake behind us. He or she whatever the case may be will not cooperate with me when I try to take a picture. The gator in our lake always seems to just slip back into the water. But we do have one there and I am very careful to keep my little dog away from the lake. I have a Chihuahua that is probably just a snack for the gator that we have out back. I mean I could just see the gator eating my doggie and then licking his or her lips waiting for the main course. So we are just very careful and even tell the kids to stay away from the lake too. They are saying that this is gator mating season. So this is the time of the year that they gators are on the move to find that mate. So now come the stories where people go out to take a swim in their backyard pool only to find it is already occupied by a gator. So my suggestion to them is to look before you leap.

Higher Education

I know that my grandchildren are not ready to go to college quite yet. But, at the rate they are growing up on us my daughter will be checking out student loans before she knows it. I really believe that she should start way before the kids are actually ready to begin applying for college to make sure she has things in place for them. This way when they are ready there will not be all of the last minute preparations that seem to go on now with the kids. I mean right now they are ready to go out the door and at least one of them is still looking for a shoe or something of that nature. So to them I say get prepared and start looking to your future and your college education.
